You don’t see them around but there must be. In Tauranga…the closet city there are. There is one guy in a wheelchair. he is a little creepy actually. Once the daughter and I were sitting in the car outside Subway (the son was getting sustenance) and he was hanging about when he stuck his hand in his pants and began to fiddle with himself. Freaked the daughter out (she was still at school) no end. Freaked me out a little too actually. There are a couple of locals that you see there…one guy in particular always pulls at my heartstrings…he has a doggie…and is so caring with it.
Hollywood is jam-packed with homeless sadly. The ones with pets I find upsetting. Old people and young’uns disturb me because I don’t think they know or can take proper care of a pet, especially in such an unsettled environment. It pains me.
Very sad. I think his feet (bare, dirty, swollen) tell the story for me. The open book, the way he’s lying just inside the shade… This is a powerful image.
Another amazing scene. Love you, Mom

What a poignantly sad image…I just want to take him home and let him sleep in a bed.
