This self-portrait is my contribution to Lens-Artists’ Photo Challenge # 67: Candid.
Here are a couple of shots that I took a few days ago. These are just random people that I photographed one morning. The couple on the left report that they work at the U.S. Naval Academy. The lady on the right with the two dogs wasn’t so friendly. I just hope that her day got better!

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, Nigel, Pirouette and GarGar.

A candid self-portrait – how did you manage that? ;-D Interesting. And I do hope the lady’s day got better later on… My experience usually says people with dogs are extremely friendly!
Sometimes we can’t be blamed for keeping tiny little secrets! Ha!
😁
Ha ha. Some like being photo’d, some not. Go figure.
So you snuck up on yourself and took a candid shot? Or maybe you took the shot by accident?? You’ve really captured the action in these candid shots.
How cool! I love this series. 🙂
