Ptchitkwitle, a squirrel and his friend, Tchuk were at their favorite restaurant. They loved the place because it was very close to home. In fact, the establishment could be found not more than three feet from the tree where they made a nest. Peanuts were the specialty of the house, uncooked and still in the shell. The sunflower seeds weren’t shabby either. Fare was brought by a human several times a day. Sometimes a special treat of bread crusts with peanut butter and jelly were to be found.
It was nice not having to wander too far for a good meal. Lack of exercise was beginning to take its toll on Ptchitkwitle’s figure. Even little Tchuk was beginning to balloon from skin and bones to a jellyroll.
Lovely captures, Russell! 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
They do look like they’re faring well. Better cut back on the jelly. 😉
