This photograph is from the deep archives. It is one of my favorites. I took it in 1987 in Washington, D.C. It occurred on 12th Street, NW just below Belmont. It was in early Spring, and it happened to be an unseasonably warm. This drove me outside with a disposable camera. This is my submission to Cee’s Black and White Challenge: Public Transportation. Thanks, Cee!

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, Nigel, Pirouette and GarGar. View more posts
Ouch!!! What a great photo for this week’s public transportation. Hope no one was already sick/injured in the ambulance 😀
Serious damage there.
Par for the course in Washington DC in the 1980’s. Ha! 🙂
