Cee’s FOTD Challenge: October 11, 2019

I know that potted flowers are a bit of a cheat, but they are easier to photograph than out of the garden. There’s no breeze to shake them in the frame. The lighting is usually so bright that you don’t need a flash (at least in grocery stores.) They are rarely eaten up by insects. (Darn! Those critters!) I guess that’s why they call it a “challenge.” Be that as it may, I thought that these petunias were lovely. I hope that I’m doing them justice!

Russell Smith

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is also an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, and Nigel.
