The croci are always the first to show themselves at the end of Winter. I find them a welcome sight every late Winter, early Spring day.
Beauty is everywhere waiting to be captured

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, Nigel, Pirouette and GarGar. View more posts

Tulips are so beautiful and I love the purple croci! ๐
Thanks, Lisa! ๐บ
Welcome! ๐
These beautiful spring flowers are all beautifully captured! Azaleas are so ready for a major explosion. ๐ Gorgeous color of these croci., I wish we could grow them here.
Thank you for your kind words! I’m very grateful. ๐บ
Beautiful flowers, but oh those riotous tulips! Unruly devils, or angels?!
The tulips must be angels. Absolutely! ๐
Lovey examples of spring’s birth Russell – I do miss the little crocuses which always heralded spring’s arrival in the north. Here in the south I suppose the robins are the first sign and there is no specific flower we can point to. Beautiful images.
Thank you so much! When I lived in Southern California, I used to complain about the lack of seasons. Now I miss it like crazy. I guess the grass is always greener… ๐
