Last Photo: October 2021

Here is my contribution to Bushboy’s challenge, Last on the Card, for the month of October. I must confess that I’ve been in a bit of a funk for the last few weeks. On October 9 my beloved father-in-law, TR passed away at the age of ninety-nine years. We were convinced that he would live to be one hundred years old. I was busying myself planning his next birthday. It didn’t dawn on me that I might have to plan his funeral instead.

At any rate, it’s been awhile since I last carted out one of my Canons. I’ve been relying solely on my iPhone to photograph whatever I might consider interesting. This is the last photo that I took with my iPhone 11, unedited.

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, Nigel, Pirouette and GarGar.
