CMMC: Bright Rectangles

Becky B at Life of B is the guest host of Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge. Once again I find myself turning to the historic and beautiful Maryland State House (and its environs) for inspiration.

Murals #4 and #5

This pretty little lady appears on more than one wall. Here are two incarnations of her. I don’t know what her name is, but you can see the artist’s signature in the lower left corner, “Vermelho,” and it was painted in 2015.

Instead of arms and wings, she now has bat wings and fins. Instead of clothes, she sports a lovely, scaly skin. This one was also painted in 2015. Can anybody identify the fish at the bottom?

There’s an interesting neighborhood in Annapolis where, among the houses and body shops, lovely murals can be found. For the next few days, I will be posting photographs of these murals. Some of them are quite large and the best way to appreciate them is with detail photos. For such a small city, Annapolis is chock full of cultural events and artists who love to share their work. I hope you enjoy looking at these murals as much as I do photographing them!
