Ragtag Daily Prompts: Confusion

Statue 1La Vielle Dame

For many years, la vieille dame had warned the children of the village to stay away from her house. She warned them repeatedly of dire consequences if they chose to disobey. Once, when little Jeanne Marie chased her kitten all the way into la vieille dame’s herb garden, the poor creature turned into a mouse before her very eyes. This time it was worse. All was confusion as both Gérard and his dog turned into stone when the boy tried to steal her mail right from her post box.

Russell Smith

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is also an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, and Nigel.
