Here is my entry for Cady’s, ThatTravelLadyInHerShoes blog, challenge called Just One Person Around the World.
“In order to make you a worthy spouse for our beloved heir, Princess Pirouette, we shall elevate you, GarGar, le comte des Deux Chats to the position of Prince.” Times being what they were, the old King spoke from a prepared script. As per usual, the prime minister stood behind the throne and to one side. Still as a statue, the only movement that could be detected in the old King’s first minister was his lips which moved silently in tandem with the King’s. There was one innovation, however, because the Princess also stood behind the throne, to the other side from the prime minister. Her hands as always were folded in front of her, her engagement ring conspicuous in its absence.
