Cee’s Flower of the Day Challenge. Orchids! Again!
Here are some pretty purple pansies for those suffering from orchid fatigue!
One reason I love pansies so much is their resilience. Through the most bitter Winter’s night, there they are in the morning with frost on their blossoms. Delicate of beauty, yet hardy of nature, the pansy could easily rank as my favorite flower. That is, of course, if I were given to such foolishness as trying to rank God’s creations according to their beauty.
This is my contribution to Ragtag Daily Prompt’s Monday challenge: resilience.
I thought the frosted mulch looked pretty groovy, so I saved an un-cropped copy of the photo. These are my submissions to Cee’s Flower of the Day challenge. February 2 also happens to be my sister’s birthday. Happy birthday, Mimi!
Let’s celebrate yellow! And what color would you say complements the yellow in these hardy pansies? So this post is a celebration, not only of yellow, but also of pansies. They snap their fingers at Winter and say, “Feh!”
Cee’s Flower of the Day challenge
For today’s Flower of the Day challenge from Cee, I present the pansy. These beautiful and hardy flowers can be seen all through winter. Here we can see them in four lovely colors: yellow, white, orange and blue. Which color is your favorite?
