Dutch Goes the Photo! Friday Mystery Location, October 18, 2019

003_23AThis could be almost anywhere in the world. Antarctica is out of course, as well as other remote, polar regions. All things being equal, it could be a corner in any town or city across the civilized world. This was a neighborhood in transition, as we used to say in the Eighties’. Post-gentrification, it is now nestled in a cove of condominiums, high-rise apartment complexes, swinging hot spots and trendy boutiques. On one end of the stretch is Vine with a swanky, new hotel and at the other end, near Highland is a swanky, old hotel. This is my submission for Friday Mystery Location 2019 #21. This the corner of Yucca & McCadden. Can you guess this most famous of all possible locations?

Russell Smith

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is also an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, and Nigel.
