Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Our Lady of Sorrows, Owensville, Maryland October 8, 2019
Our old friends from Hillsmere Beach, Annapolis, Maryland. Do they look like a tough crew, or what? The only thing missing is a cigarette dangling from each beak. I love how the first one is standing on one leg. I hope all are having a nice work week!

I like the idea of distant horizons. This is my contribution to Granny Shot It’s Water Water Everywhere challenge (a.k.a. WWE). These shots were taken at Hillsmere Beach, Annapolis, Maryland on September 8, 2019.
Penelope peeked through the vines into the edge of the parking lot. She’s taken cover under a leaf when she first heard the children. Now she could see that the children were all boys. Not only that, but they were on bicycles! To the little faerie, both were horrors. Boys! Bicycles! Run!
These were her thoughts as she tugged at the hem of her humble gossamer skirt. It was a nervous habit. Her skirt and sweater set were the perfect shade of pale green to show off her buttery colored hair. When the faeries gathered under a full moon to dance, Penelope never lacked for a dance partner. When the faeries dance, they create a breeze that smells of honeysuckle, and sometimes lavender.
Children and faeries don’t mix well. Children seem to be impervious to their spells. Their innate innocence seems to grant some sort of immunity to them. Children were cruel. There was no doubt about that. She’d seen what children, boys especially, did to the poor insects and other small animals that fell into their clutches. Her stomach flip-flopped.
Get out of here!

Here are a couple of shots that I took a few days ago. These are just random people that I photographed one morning. The couple on the left report that they work at the U.S. Naval Academy. The lady on the right with the two dogs wasn’t so friendly. I just hope that her day got better!
