“We have to call the repairman again,” sighed Monica.
“Why?” Asked Karl. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s that damn sundial again.” Replied Monica bitterly.
“Why bother?” Said Karl in a wistful tone. “That thing is so flaky. We pay the man to come out here. He fixes it, and then three days later, we have to call him back again. Let’s cut our losses and just let it go.”
“Never,” Monica didn’t miss a beat. “I’m not one to let things go!”
