Beauty is everywhere waiting to be captured
Here are my contribution to Lens-Artists photo challenge #144 – Taking Flight.
I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, Nigel, Pirouette and GarGar. View more posts
Nice! I love dragonflies and have just started to see them around here where water is near. I think they have fascinating faces!
Yes! So do I! They are so expressive. Poor things seem to be in decline around here. I was only able to capture them for a few weeks last summer.
We had them for months here. We’ll see what this year brings. We had less rain, I wonder if that will make a difference…
Lovely shots of the damselfly and that bee coming in to land
Thank you very much! 😺
Fantastic series of captures, Russell 👏 The bee coming in to land is brilliant 😃
Thanks, Jez! I appreciate it very much!
LOL for the dragonfly’s smile Russell, I must admit I’d have missed it if you hadn’t mentioned it! Your images are beautiful! Love the way you captured your subjects in flight – never easy!
Thank you very much, Tina!
