Butterflies and Honeybee

Bee in flight Detail

Butterfly loveButterfly and beeCan you see the bee yet? (above)IMG_5114This is the original version of the photograph of the bee. My mission was to capture some images of butterflies. I wasn’t having great luck, but I did succeed with this shot. When I cropped it down to get a better look at the butterfly, I saw the bee in flight. I performed a second crop and was able to present the stunning image at the top of this post. Talk about fortuitous! I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this, but seeing the challenge on Ragtag Daily Prompt: Fortuitous, I decided to unveil it now. Thanks!

Apologies all! I forgot to change the date/time for this post to come up. I saw that it wasn’t on Beautiful photographs, so I took a look and saw my mistake. As you can see, it is now online. I hope you enjoy! Thanks, Russell

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is also an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, and Nigel.
