Ragtag Daily Prompt: Bliss

When GarGar made his entrance, it was like sunlight bursting through the clouds. Princess Pirouette stood with her hands neatly folding in front of her. GarGar took off his hat and bowed deeply and then approached his beloved, whereupon, he knelt before her with his head down. Pirouette extended her right hand for him to kiss. There, on her wedding finger, he saw the diamond and sapphire ring he’d given her on their betrothal.

What bliss! He thought as he placed a tender kiss, turning her hand over, kissing the palm. “Mere words can not express my gratitude that you have forgiven me.”

“All is forgiven,” she replied. After a brief pause, she continued, “But not forgotten, Monsieur le comte.”

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, Nigel, Pirouette and GarGar.
