Another day, another ball! Or rather, it was another night, another ball. Princess Pirouette’s social calendar was so crowded that she was forced into the uncomfortable position of declining invitations. Sometimes she would attend two balls in one night. Poor GarGar! His days were filled with important business, such as training recruits or attending Privy Council meetings. He found that his reserves of energy were being sorely tapped, and often, he would ask Pirouette to go by herself to whatever function was on the calendar that day. She was only too happy to oblige. She found GarGar to be an average dance partner at best. Oh, he could swing her on his arm like the best of them, but when it came to grace of movement, she found him wanting.
During the day, we see their dried-out exoskeletons. The later we see them buzzing lazily through the air. The first thing they do when they crawl out of the ground is molt. They find a good spot where they can latch on with no effort and then emerge from their outer casing. It’s an amazing process.
