Ragtag Daily Prompt: Go

Babies 2Pirouette yawned and stretched her herself from head to toe. Unlike her husband, she loved the morning, especially in the Summer, when the air was fresh and full of the scents of a dozen different fragrant flowers. Birdsong made her heart leap. From where she stood on the terrace, she could hear a water fountain splashing. The morning sun warmed her face and made squint her eyes. In the distance, she could see a shepherd with his crook, chastising his fluffy white charges.

She felt restless. Turning her back on the view, she passed through the glass doors that led to her bed chamber. There she saw her husband, GarGar, the King- GarGar, the Beloved. “Wake up!” She shouted. “GarGar! Let’s go!”

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, Nigel, Pirouette and GarGar.
