Lady Chole de Muffin had been a fixture at court since the early days of the old king. Admired and respected by all, she was an arbiter of taste and style, inferior only to Queen Pirouette. In old age, she lost her vision, but this only served to increase her authoritas.
Years before the reigns of GarGar and Pirouette, Lady Chloe was traveling to court in an open carriage. It began to storm. Something spooked her horses and they reared violently, spilling the poor Lady from her seat into the muddy and murky road. You can imagine the stir she caused when she appeared before her lover (the old king) soaking wet and covered with mud!
“How dare you appear before me in such a state!” Shouted the King.
“Forgive me, Sire.” She replied. “I had to sloshfor a mile in the mud.”
Great story! I love that you use your animals as your subjects! They make good characters.
Thank you so much! 🙂
