Ragtag Daily Prompt: Pause

It was open house at the Palace for the officers and their wives of the Ceremonial Guards. While the Queen entertained the wives in her garden, personally serving tea from her own hand, King GarGar gave the officers a tour of his private collection of weapons dating back to battle axes from the Stone Age. Later, the royal children performed a play for everybody in the Palace’s theater that sat 250 people comfortably. After a brief pause, there was a banquet in the State Dining Room where the Captain of the Guards gave a speech thanking his royal hosts.
