Dragonfly, August 26, 2020 – Master of Camouflage

This was a very difficult shot between the glare against the viewer and the dragonfly’s masterful camouflage, I had to send up big prayers with each shot.
Just a little closer…it’s still a challenge to distinguish leaf from dragonfly.
This dragonfly’s ability to blend in with the grass is stunning.

Ragtag Daily Prompt: Instinct

King GarGar and Queen Pirouette stood before the House of Common in full regalia. They looked quite regal in their ermine furs and golden crowns. Whenever they opened Parliament, Queen Pirouette did all the talking. As far as public speaking went, she was GarGar’s superior. She possessed a natural instinct for playing to an audience, knowing when to raise her voice for effect, and then lowering it so that the listeners hung on every word.

Butterfly or Moth? August 26, 2020

One major difference between moths and butterflies is that butterflies have smooth antenna, while moths have feathery antenna. The butterfly antenna ends with a little ball, much like the areal on a car. What do you think?
