This morning I went to visit an old stomping ground from last summer. In the past it had been a great location for photographing butterflies. In that respect, I was not surprised to be disappointed. On the other hand, a friendly dragonfly, as has been so often the case this summer, agreed to pose for a couple dozen exposures. He was so well camouflaged that even though the shots are clear and crisp, one is still obliged to squint in order to get a good look at my anisopteran friends.
Thats a proper dragon. never seen one that colour before. Really nice photographs. well done.
Thank you sir! He is an interesting fellow. He sat for me for a long time and he kept sizing me up. They are amazing creatures! 😁
Thats amazing. Dragonflies only get one day on the wing so they hardly land at all.
You were very lucky.
Cool! I love dragonflies! We have two locations nearby with a lot of dragonflies. Such amazing creatures!
