Ludwig’s Monday Window Challenge: May 3, 2021

Inscription reads, “In Memory of Clyde F. Straub, Pastor 1953 – 1968.

One thing I really like about the above photo is the reflected lights. To me they look like different phases of the moon. The window is on display at Heritage Baptist Church, Annapolis, MD. I love the outer pieces of glass that are stained to look like folds of cloth. I believe the scene portrayed is the baptism of Christ. On the other hand, perhaps it is Christ’s Ascension into Heaven?

We can only image how these windows would look with sunlight streaming through them.

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Maxwell, Nigel, Pirouette and GarGar.
