The look on Lady Scrimmage’s face was of complete panic as she fled the Queen’s chambers, followed by several other of the Queen’s ladies-in-waiting. The cacophony of sound that they left behind was near deafening. At dawn, construction workers had descended on the palace with their hammers and saws, nuts and bolts and commenced work on renovating the Queen’s space in the palace. When King GarGar made the mistake of asking Queen Pirouette what the cost of the project would be, she told him not to worry. She would be paying for it all out of her own pocket.
