Christ, the RedeemerJesus 1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galations 5:1.

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
he will save,
he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love,
he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17.

Cee’s Hunt for Joy Challenge: Get Outside

FlagWelcome! I shall be taking my role as a contributor to this challenge very seriously.  I am honored that I am able to participate in it from its inception. Thank you, Cee for creating yet another wonderful venue for everybody to showcase their talent.

The reason I chose to post the American flag was because it flutters in the wind. When inside, flags just fold into themselves, showing only glimpses of their design. When they are unfurled, they show their true colors. I love the flag.

WWE 7This is the Chesapeake Bay. I love it so. If I’m feeling blue, I’m five minutes away from its shores. There I can gaze at the water, and contemplate the awesome beauty of land meeting ocean. The life forms that thrive in this biosphere are as diverse as the very grains of sand along the shoreline.

This is just a little collage of some of the other things that get me out of the house and clicking my camera. This is just a smidgen of my complete body of work. For much of the early part of this Century, I was a street photographer. This is when I lived in Sunny Southern California. Now that I am in Maryland again, I am leaning more towards nature, flowers, art in general and portraiture in particular.

In closing, I just want to say “thank you” again to Cee. As it says in the song You’re the Tops!

Ragtag Daily Prompt: Chicanery

Max 1

“How will you know how to execute the law if you don’t study law, my child.” Queen Pirouette looked sadly at her eldest daughter, Gargella. “Now that poor little GarGar is gone, you are the heir to the throne. How will you be able to govern if you do not know the law of your kingdom?” She put her hand under Gargella’s chin and gave it a playful tweak.

“But mother!” Whined Gargella plaintively. “The only reason we have lawyers is to figure out how to get around the law.”

“Yes, dear, there is some chicanery that mocks justice in our courts, but when your time comes to rule, you will be able identify it and then do something about it.” She stressed the words “do something,” hoping to convey a sense of empowerment to the teenager who someday would supplant her.
