Taken on a dreary morning, December 23, 2019. Bay Ridge, Annapolis. Jez Braithwaite’s Water Water Everywhere challenge.
King GarGar the Beloved looked at his wife, Queen Pirouette with a benign smile on his lips. The words he spoke next were soft, but they conveyed great passion.
“I’ve loved you since I first set eyes upon you. I bless the day you were born. I bless the day we were. With you by my side, every day is a blessing!” His eyes glistened with tears.
Smiling back at GarGar, Pirouette lifted a hand to wipe his furrowed brow. As sleeves were very wide at the cuff, according to the fashion of the time, the pastel fabric of her dress rolled down her arm, revealing fingers and wrist bathed in jewels.
Desperate to meet fully the criteria for this Prompt, I post the above photograph of some seriously pastel blossoms.
