This is the mighty Chesapeake Bay, submitted for Jez Braithwaite’s Water Water Everywhere Challenge. More than 150 major rivers and streams flow into the Bay’s 64,299-square-mile drainage basin, which covers parts of six states (New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and West Virginia. It is 200 miles long from its headwaters in the Susquehanna River to its outlet to the Atlantic. The average depth is 21 feet with a maximum depth of 174 feet
