With a flourish of trumpets, pipes and drums, King GarGar and Queen Pirouette appeared on the balcony to greet their adoring subjects. It was the second year of their assumption of power and they were as popular as ever. Their eyes sparkled more brightly than the diamonds in their golden crowns. Holding hands, they acknowledged the crowds by waving with their free hands. To the delight of the people, Queen Pirouette was heavily pregnant. To an outside observer, the King and Queen gave every appearance of being deleriously happy.
