I suppose that there are several good reasons why our house is unofficially called the “scary house” of the neighborhood. Today’s Ragtag Daily Prompt (RDP) is chimney. I’ll ask people, “Do you know the scary house on the corner of C.P. and Locust?” Even the address is a little creepy. The house is surrounded by very tall trees. The ground is covered with every possible variety of poisonous vine and noxious weed. Because I leave birdseed and peanuts in a specific spot everyday, during the sunlight hours the yard teems with all kinds of critters. From birds to squirrels, rabbits, the occasional fox, and once, even a little brown bear! But I forget myself, I was supposed to talk about chimneys.
I enjoyed the fact that people equate a scary house with vegetation and critters Russell 😀
