FOWC With Fandango: Settle

King GarGar and Queen Pirouette sat in the gallery of the cathedral during their oldest daughter’s wedding. While GarGar could not keep his eyes off of the ceremony, Pirouette hardly took notice. She was more concerned with projecting a completely regal presence to the assembled guests. Princess Gargella never looked more beautiful, and maintained a frozen smile on her face, despite the fact that she was being forced to settle for a husband who was twice her age, already twice-married and in obviously poor health.

Much to the consternation of the King, the groom coughed loudly throughout the proceedings.

Arise and shine for thy light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen. Isaiah 60:1. (Please see Handel’s Messiah.)
